When will I ever use this?…exclaims almost every math student at one time or another. When we look at how the world has changed over the centuries, it is clear that learning and applying mathematics has been key to that transformation.
The physics classes of CLHS put together a website to share what they’ve learned about real world applications of mathematics.
The children of today are born into a world where man has walked on the moon. It is a fact. It is universally accepted, yet no one has set foot on the surface of the moon since December 1972. To gain insight into this tremendous scientific, engineering, and political achievement, the physics class of California Lutheran High School constructed a website to share what we’ve learned about man’s early exploration of space, and to learn from others.
Many CLHS physics students have worked on a similar project. Here are the links to this year’s project and two other older versions.
